Charming Ambiance

The place has a wonderful ambiance. Although I only had coffee and cake, just sitting here is enjoyable. It feels like I’m in a Renaissance painting.

Highlights

• Outstanding Food: The ambiance is wonderful! The house “upgraded” our table after arriving, very accommodating. Victoria, our English speaking server, was very attentive; see my photos for the outstanding food presentation!
• Great Breakfast: Super place for breakfast, light meals and sweets. The staff was very helpful. At 12:30 they still served me breakfast even so breakfast service would stop at noon. Great place and staff.
• Unbelievable Tomatoey Taste: Don’t treat the experience you expect at La Crete d’or to be fine dining. It’s an interesting ornately decorated, bright cafe with huge ceilings. The give French food a conservative effort. The result, tasty, well presented, but some dishes lacked attention to detail in flavour and freshness. One dish that surprisingly stood out for me was the Borsch. Unbelievable deep rich tomatoey taste. To add, If local hoy baloy watching is your bag, it should be if you are a tourist, come here. I’m sure I saw a wedding party here too.
