Highlights
- A Renewed Local Gem: A bar full of surprises. This tired locals bar has been given a new lease of life. The locals still hang out for a pils and a genever, but the beer card includes some good stuff, and the food menu some well presented classics (mussels, tartaar). The Rodenbach served with a small dish of shrimps is a treat normally only found on the coast. The real surprise is hidden in the fridge, some top quality world beers in the can/bottle.
- A Charming Spot for Food and Drinks: Used to be a solid option after they took over from te previous owner. Still a solid spot for food and drinks provided you make a reservation. Gentrification in full swing.
- Not Your Average Pub Grub: Too pricey for what you get. Stoverij and fries is not a Michelin dish. We didn’t appreciate the personnel head looking down at us for no reason.
- Friendly Service and Quick Service: The staff was nice the 3 min I was there. Went in, ordered a lager export, drank it, said goodbye and took the tram 2 min later.
